Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Found Footage Camera handles user data. Found Footage Camera is an analog horror found-footage camera app. The app is designed to process captures on your device and keep camera content, microphone audio, photos, videos, imports, and baked exports local unless you choose to share or save them.

Data We Access Or Collect

Found Footage Camera accesses camera and microphone data only for app functionality that you request. The app does not collect contacts, location, account data, SMS or call logs, health data, financial data, advertising ID, or other unrelated sensitive data.

  • Camera: used on device for live preview, photo capture, and video recording. Camera content is not uploaded by Found Footage Camera.
  • Microphone: used for normal video recording audio. If microphone access is denied, videos can record silently. Microphone audio is not uploaded by Found Footage Camera.
  • Selected media: imported videos are selected through the device system picker. The app does not request broad media-library access.
  • Local captures and exports: photos, videos, and baked effects files are stored locally in app-private storage until you delete them, uninstall the app, share them, or save them to a destination you choose.
  • Developer analytics and diagnostics: the Android app uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics for developer analytics and stability/performance diagnostics. These services may process limited app interaction data, crash traces, device and operating system information, app version, Firebase installation identifiers, and related diagnostic data. Advertising ID collection is disabled.

How We Use Data

  • To provide camera preview, photo capture, video recording, and local effects processing.
  • To let you import a selected video through system picker controls.
  • To let you share or save a capture only when you choose that action.
  • To improve reliability and performance, diagnose crashes, and understand basic app health through Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics.

Sharing And Third Parties

Found Footage Camera does not sell user data, does not share data with advertisers or data brokers, and does not share your camera content, microphone audio, photos, videos, imports, or exports with outside parties. Limited diagnostic data may be processed by Firebase/Google as a service provider for developer analytics and stability/performance diagnostics. User files leave the app only when you choose to share or save them through system controls.

  • Firebase/Google processes limited analytics, crash, and diagnostic data to provide Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics services.
  • With apps or locations you choose through the system share sheet or save/export controls.
  • If required to comply with law, protect users, or respond to valid legal requests.

You can review Firebase's privacy and security information at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.

Security

Captures and exports are stored locally in app-private storage by default. When diagnostic or analytics data is sent to Firebase, it is transmitted using secure connections. We use reasonable safeguards and keep access limited to what is needed to operate and improve the app.

Retention And Deletion

  • Local captures and exports remain on your device until you delete them in the app, clear app data, or uninstall the app.
  • User-selected import source files are not deleted by Found Footage Camera when you remove them from the in-app library.
  • Copies you save or share outside the app are controlled by the destination app or location you selected.
  • Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics data is retained according to Firebase service settings and policies. Contact xphos.dev@gmail.com for privacy or deletion requests related to app diagnostics where such deletion is technically available.

Found Footage Camera does not provide user accounts, so there is no in-app account profile to delete.

Children

Found Footage Camera is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data through contact with us, email xphos.dev@gmail.com.
